Pay Rate: $20.50 per hour

What’s a typical day as a Skilled Maintenance Technician? You’ll:

• Operate with a high degree of proficiency with little or no supervision in the specific trade area.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and manuals.

• Lay out work and estimate materials and costs.

• Design, build, construct, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, set up, or adjust machinery, equipment, parts, vehicles, etc.

• Work independently under generalized instructions from management in maintenance operations.

• Use instruments, tools, and equipment of the specific trade; moderately skilled in tools of various trades.

• Assist with preventative maintenance on machinery.

• Maintain records, inventories, and keep an orderly and clean work area.

• Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Must have a 2-year technical degree in a related field or equivalent on-the-job experience.

• Must possess a high level of machine troubleshooting ability in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.

• Food Manufacturing experience, Sanitary Design experience, and SIX SIGMA techniques knowledge is a plus.

• Must be able to work alternative work schedules and shifts.

• Must be skilled in troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLCs, Frequency Drives, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, etc.

• Knowledge of refrigeration systems (NH3), boiler systems, and HVAC systems required.

• Must read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and manuals.

• Must have knowledge of SIX SIGMA techniques such as 5-S (preferred).
