Scheduled: Shift C (8 AM - 8 PM, Rotating)

How will you make an impact?As a Quality Technician II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality assurance standards within your Value Stream during your assigned shift. You will support Quality Inspectors in product release activities, make informed decisions on product quality, and lead investigations into quality issues. Your expertise will help drive continuous improvement, maintain compliance with cGMP requirements, and ensure the accurate and timely completion of Batch History Records (BHR).

What will you do?

  • Oversee Quality Assurance activities for your designated Value Stream during your assigned shift.

  • Support Quality Inspectors (Visual & Dimensional) in product release decisions, especially in ambiguous situations.

  • Conduct shift-to-shift Batch History Record (BHR) reviews to ensure they are ready for handoff to the next shift.

  • Create Certificates of Compliance (C of C) and Certificates of Analysis (C of A), and perform the first level of BHR review to complete batches ending on your shift.

  • Investigate Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR) and Customer Complaints (CC), providing findings to the Sr. Quality Lead and Quality Engineer.

  • Complete Incoming Inspections according to approved Inspection Plans (IIP).

  • Ensure compliance with all PPE requirements and coach others to adhere to safety standards.

  • Enforce cGMP documentation practices and audit for errors.

  • Learn and apply 5S, Lean, Visual Factory, and other Operational Excellence (OpEx) principles in Quality Control.

  • Provide guidance and coaching to Quality Control inspectors to enhance their product quality decision-making.

  • Communicate effectively with Operations and Material Handling personnel to support production priorities, including changeovers and start-ups.

  • Update Defect Libraries as needed to document product quality decisions and ensure consistent application by Quality Inspectors.

How will you get here?

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Associate's Degree or technical certification in a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with cGMP, 5S, Lean, and other OpEx principles.

  • Previous experience investigating non-conforming material reports (NCMR) and customer complaints (CC).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of Quality Assurance processes and standards.

  • Ability to make informed decisions in ambiguous situations.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Proficiency in conducting Batch History Record (BHR) reviews and completing C of C / C of A.

  • Ability to apply cGMP requirements and enforce proper documentation practices.

  • Familiarity with 5S, Lean, and Visual Factory principles.

  • Strong problem-solving and investigative skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within Quality Control.

  • Advanced technical certifications related to Quality Assurance.

  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Familiarity with electronic Quality Management Systems (QMS).
