The role you’ll contribute: Manages food production personnel. Responsible for the preparation of all food items, planning weekly cafeteria and patient menus. Coordinates catered functions. Responsible for clean and sanitary work area to meet all regulatory agencies’ policies. Adheres to department’s budget.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Directly responsible for the management of the food production personnel; daily monitors and trains employees; scheduling hours and monitoring overtime of self and staff.

· Directly responsible for the preparation of all food items. Utilizes culinary skills in the preparation of all hot and cold food production. Knowledge of cooking, baking and presentation of foods for service.

· Plans weekly cafeteria menu (rotation cycle).

· Assists Director and clinical staff in the review and planning of patient menus.

· Plans and reviews production sheets to determine type and quantities of food items required for daily operation.

· Creates and follows standardized recipes, observes and tastes food. May assist in preparation of foods.

· Directs distribution of food items to patient tray line, cafeteria and catered functions.

· Responsible for next day’s workload to ensure that the correct food products are available in a timely manner.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· At least one year of formal training required.

· Minimum five years experience in restaurant or convention food service required.

· Minimum two years performing supervisory duties required.
