Job Description

The primary function of this role is to understand the theory and operation of electrical equipment, and to perform maintenance, repair, adjustment, testing, and installation of such equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and competently follow prints, diagrams, instructions, and orders.

  • Carry out duties of maintenance, repair, adjustment, testing, installing, dismantling, cleaning, lubricating, cooling, and heating all electrical equipment and circuits.

  • Maintain, repair, adjust, install, replace, and clean motors, motor controllers, and circuits.

  • Make periodic reports to supervision on the condition of equipment.

  • Work on 'hot' lines as required.

  • Install conduit, fittings, switches, controls, and fixtures, and wire and connect all types of electrical equipment.

  • Use safe and orderly methods and proper equipment and safety devices.

  • Perform electrical troubleshooting and analysis.

  • Make emergency repairs to minimize plant 'downtime'.

  • Work in shop or field environments.

  • Keep records of work in log form.

  • Maintain clean work areas.

Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of Industrial Electrician experience

  • Knowledge of industrial electrical equipment, including motors, controllers, and circuits

  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, test instruments, and safety equipment

  • Ability to read and follow prints, diagrams, and instructions

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with installing conduit, fittings, switches, and controls

  • Experience working with electrical hardware and supplies, including lubricants, coolants, insulation, and replacement parts

  • Ability to work on 'hot' lines and perform emergency repairs

  • Experience working in both shop and field environments

  • Ability to keep detailed records and maintain cleanliness in work areas

Work Environment

This position is in an industrial environment within a union facility. It may require rotating shifts, including 12-hour day and night shifts. Candidates must be clean-shaven to comply with respirator requirements.

This is a Permanent position based out of Henderson, Nevada.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $78104.00 - $78104.00/yr.
