Position and Responsibilities:

Operate trade specific machinery in a safe and responsible manner Must be able to read and understand labels, and the ability to pick the proper machine as well as sequence of operation required to form raw materials. Interpret job orders and drawings as needed for area of assignment. Layout and fabrication of hand makes. Inspects and documents product quality and compliance Handle materials. Working knowledge of capacities of equipment. Maintains time records accurately. Work closely with other fabricators, welders and laborers to improve their skills. Maintenance of equipment. Assist shop superintendent in the training of new employees. Assist shop superintendent with production tracking and communicate status of orders Work with shop foreman to insure production goals are met. Perform other assignments as directed by shop superintendent. Qualify and maintain procedure relevant to field of work. Perform work instructions as written and verify specifications Cut and shape construction materials by hand or using power tools. Weld, solder, or rivet construction materials together. Assemble and install pipe, pipe supports, and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Cut, thread, and install pipes according to specs. Inspect assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications. Make, weld, and cut structural metal and other construction materials. Direct operation of rigging and cranes. Fabricate and assemble structural metal products. Effective verbal and listening communications skills. Regularly identify defects to prevent rework Commitment to quality and safety. Strong working mechanical knowledge of machines and tools. Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule. Multiple Shifts Available: 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 5am-3:30pm 2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday 3:30pm- 2:00am Qualifications:

Receives direct supervision. Performs technical responsibilities. Contributes to the development and improvement of concepts, techniques and procedures. Coordinates own tasks with a specific range of responsibilities under established procedures. Contributes to a team under general supervision of an experienced professional or manager. Skilled specialist. Role specific skills and experience required. Requires judgment or initiative in resolving issues and making recommendations.
