State of Montana Human Resource Specialist (Recruiter) in Helena, Montana

* * The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Office of Human Resources. Provides operational HR support and guidance for recruitment and onboarding. Serves as a backup for other HR services including compensation and classification, employee relations specific to Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and worker compensation (WC) administration. This position contributes to policies, procedures, record keeping, data analysis, process improvements, training, communications, and compliance with state and federal laws and regulations and collective bargaining agreements. This position will require frequent travel to the facilities across Montana and hiring programs within the state. In addition, DPHHS is the largest state agency with a wide range of advancement opportunities whether you are joining the workforce or have several years of experience. * *Qualifications for this Career Opportunity * * * Build partnerships within the community and engage in outreach to develop a workforce pipeline. * Review and create job descriptions in compliance with applicable state and federal laws. * Consult with hiring managers to develop a full- cycle recruitment plan for vacancies to include advertising strategy, timeline, screening process, behavioral based interview questions and defensible selection criteria. * Assists applicants with the hiring process such as pre- employment screening, interviewing, job offer, licensure, reference checks, and screenings. * Crosstrain in other focus areas and serve as support and back up as needed. * Meet minimum qualifications: o Associate degree in related field such as human resources, business or public administration, psychology, journalism, English, or marketing. o Three years of job-related experience working in a professional office environment. o Other combinations of education and experience may be considered. o Ability to obtain the State of Montana Classification Certification within one year of hire.
