Mechanical Assembler

Salary: $30/hour

Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

Location: Hebron, Kentucky

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Assembler with 3 to 5 years of experience in complex machine building, automotive engine/transmission repair, or a related field. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in electronics, programmable controls, pneumatics, and hydraulics. A solid understanding of bearings, their functions, and proper assembly protocols is essential. Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (G.D. & T.) and the ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and bills of materials are required.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare component parts for assembly.

• Balance shafts and rotating components.

• Inspect component parts as necessary.

• Install motors into spindle housings.

• Grease and lubricate specific parts during assembly.

• Accurately enter details into the computer for quality and inspection reports.

• Calculate and adjust preload in bearings as needed.

Essential Skills:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in complex machine building, repair, or automotive engine/transmission work.

• Proficient in electronics, programmable controls, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

• Knowledge of bearings and proper assembly protocols.

• Understanding of G.D. & T.

• Ability to read and understand complex blueprints and bills of materials.

• Experience with inspection computer software and ERP systems is preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Mechanical assembly experience with precise parts and spindles.

• Proficiency in using mechanical tools, blueprints, power tools, schematics, hand tools, wiring, and electrical assembly.
