Develop lesson plans, provide group and individual student instruction to special education students, including working with students with severe behavioral concerns; collaborate with other teachers, professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; respond to a wide range of inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional programs and student progress. Maintain confidential and non-confidential manual and electronic lists and records (e.g. daily log of activities, behavior or medical logs, progress, referrals, etc.)  Physical place of employment is JR Smith Elementary, 235 East 500 North, Heber City, UT 84032.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's in Special Education or related field; Utah state teaching license or eligible to enroll in APPEL, proven ability to maintain confidentiality when handling matters pertaining to students, parents and colleagues; proven ability to apply principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to identify target behaviors and manage severe aggressive behaviors with ABA techniques and strategies; demonstrated proficiency in implementing Response-to-Intervention process to ensure all students are learning at high levels.
