Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for repairing and adjusting equipment as needed to ensure it operates according to manufacturer’s specifications and production requirements. This role involves performing repairs, conducting preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs on equipment as needed.

  • Perform and document preventative maintenance tasks as necessary.

  • Timely, effective troubleshooting.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of minor electrical repairs and troubleshooting on motors, VFDs, PLCs, high and low voltage applications.

  • Safely work inside electrical panels and understand the function of all components inside.

  • Read and understand wiring schematics and machine manuals.

  • Troubleshoot safety switches and safety circuitry.

  • Use of pneumatic controls.

  • Perform work on hydraulic equipment.

  • Perform regular maintenance on gear boxes and conveyors.

  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.

  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Adhere to all safety and security policies and procedures.

  • Follow all food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer, and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements.

  • At least 2 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a food manufacturing plant is preferred

Work Environment

This position offers training on the first shift (8-4 or 9-5, Tuesday to Friday) before moving to a mid-shift schedule (noon-9 pm, Monday to Friday). The work environment emphasizes adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices, safety, and quality standards, ensuring a clean and secure workspace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Hazelwood, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00

I have the full benefits package that I can provide if a candidate requests it. Standard, non-union benefits.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Hazelwood,MO.
