*What is the job about? *

Grundfos CBS is seeking an experienced Regional Manager-California. This position is responsible for building close relationships with a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing customers and actively seek new opportunities within the assigned territory. Strengthen Grundfos’ name and reputation in the market, deliver on defined sales targets and adhere to professional sales practices conducted in Grundfos. Develop and implement highly complex or specialized initiatives/activities with an impact on Grundfos as a whole. Execute high degree of functional responsibility with a keen eye on top line revenue growth and bottom line profitability growth for a designated region and customer base. This position reports directly to the Vice President of CBS Sales US & Canada and will operate remotely out of the Hayward, California facility.

Qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support now or in the future.

Your main responsibilities :  

  • Drive a paradigm shift in the applications of pumps and pumping systems in Commercial Buildings to utilize the state-of-the-art technology of Grundfos products

  • Challenge the status quo in the way pumps are applied in commercial buildings to deliver innovative solutions to solve the worlds climate challenges

  • Drive market to pumping system solutions that address decarbonization and energy efficiency challenges faced in the industry

  • Own and achieve annual sales, profitability and market share growth targets for a designated region.

  • Oversee the management of key accounts to establish, build and preserve solid customer relationships.

  • Analyze and research to gain expert understanding of target markets, products, and applications and bring added value and resource to the sales process resulting in gains in market share.

  • Focus on the most strategically advantageous products, applications and customers within target markets to gain market share.

  • Promote all aspects of the sales process and contribute to ensuring that Grundfos delivers maximum value proposition to the account.

  • Lead due diligence to understand the total sales opportunity for Grundfos products in a key account and focus region.

  • Lead global, market specific, network meetings and interfaces with key product and other management personnel.

  • Register and promote opportunities in the global CRM tool according to company guidelines

  • Build and maintain mutually beneficial and long-lasting customer relationships as well as key internal relationships

  • Active ambassadorship for the Grundfos Values and Principles

Your background

We imagine that you have:  

Qualified candidates will have an Engineering Degree and master’s in Business preferred but can be replaced with more 15+ years of experience in the applied equipment sales position. Must have a minimum 10-15 years of work experience in sales and sales management role.

  • Professional sales skills including key account management strategies and execution.

  • Proven leadership skills to inspire, motivate internal and partner sales teams to promote Grundfos products in their individual.

  • Experience developing key strategies within a large business environment; experience in a large global manufacturing companies is markedly advantageous.

  • Ability to think strategically to set goals, develop plans and make decisions aligned with overall regional strategy for the organization.

  • Effective communicator with ability to convey expectations, provide constructive feedback and ensure alignment of strategies with internal and external parties.

  • Financial acumen to understand metrics, budgeting, forecasting and reporting to make the right decisions for profitable growth in the region.

  • Comprehensive relationship building skills with internal stakeholders, partners and other stakeholders in the overall value chain of the business

  • Change management skills to be able to oversee and facilitate process, system and structural changes internal and external to the organization.

  • Ability to make timely and informed decisions to considering impact from various perspectives.

  • Coaching mentality to develop and enhance skills of internal and external team members within their channel of influence.
