SUMMARY: Fill drink orders at the bar and orders that servers take from guests. Collect payment, operate the cash registers and serve food to guests in the bar area. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for making drinks for servers in the restaurant and their guests. Responsible for checking the age of guest before serving alcoholic beverages to ensure that under age guest are not served alcohol. Serves food to guest in the bar area. Accountable for organization and cleanliness of all areas and aspects of the bar. In charge of maintaining all bar inventory on a weekly basis. Ensures that all bar stations remain stocked before and during the meal period. Keeps bar area clean and organized. Receives product by verifying invoice, puts orders away. Sets excellent customer service and wok examples. Responsible for the accuracy of the cash drawer during shift.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have a fluent command of written and spoken English and legible handwriting. Must have no criminal record, excluding traffic violations. Must be 18 years of age; this position will mix and pour alcoholic beverages.

Required to complete TIPS training class within three months of hire. Must obtain TIPS training at own expense. TECHNICAL SKILLS: Must have the ability to prepare a wide variety of mixed drinks, following the restaurant's guidelines. Must exercise responsible service, sales and consumption of alcohol to prevent intoxication, underage drinking and drunk driving. Must have exceptional organizational skills for dealing with diverse duties and staff. Must have pleasant, polite manner for dealing with public and staff. Must be detail oriented, have the ability to work independently, and exercise good judgment. Ability to interact with the public and government officials with tact and diplomacy. Must have mature attitude/judgment; ability to act quickly and decisively to resolve technical and non-technical issues. Must possess exceptional customer service skills. Must be a team player. Must be reliable and able to work in a fast paced environment. Must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
