Psychologist and Clinical Diagnostician for Autism (ASD)

Full-time

Salary: $100,000 -$125,000k annually 

The licensed psychologist will work within their scope of practice, with training, experience, or expertise in diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or behavioral health services. The diagnostician will be responsible for independently providing diagnostic and developmental assessments.  

Primary Responsibilities: Job Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct autism spectrum disorder or psychological assessments, analyze and interpret data, and write evaluation reports  

  • Provide feedback to clients / families after evaluations 

  • Communicate with team members during and after the evaluation process, as necessary  

  • Provide written orders for applied behavior analysis treatment and/or other behavioral health services, as necessary  

  • Follow all state and federal regulatory guidelines  

  • Other duties as assigned  

  • Candidate may work as full time employee, part time employee or independent contractor  

  • Be goal-oriented and maintain professionalism in all aspects of your work 

  • Follow the policies and procedures of Ascend Autism Group 

Qualifications: 

  • Licensed psychologist  

  • Two years’ experience with at least one years’ experience conducting ASD evaluations  

  • Experience administering various standardized diagnostic tools (e.g. ADOS-2, CARS, Vineland) 

  • Must hold applicable state licensure 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office 

  • Extensive knowledge of DSM-5 

  • Excellent report writing skills  

  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with families, schools and ASD service providers  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Excellent administrative skills 

Physical Requirements:  

  • Prolonged periods of standing and sitting.  

  • Must be able to lift to 45 pounds at a time.   

  • Must be able to sit and stand on the floor throughout the day, and bend, kneel, or squat to be at eye level with clients
