Amazon Product Manager Retention, Ring Customer Experience & Engagement in Hawthorne, California
Description
The Ring team is seeking a talented Product Manager to drive retention communication strategies and be a connection point between Product, Business Intelligence, Hardware, and Data Science teams. In this role, you will develop and execute data-driven retention initiatives to support Ring's goals around device health, subscription retention, and user engagement.
Key job responsibilities
Manage audience-specific messaging and communication strategies across email, push notifications, in-app messaging, and SMS to drive device, subscription, and user retention.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Business Intelligence, Hardware, and Data Science teams to understand product usage, customer behaviors, and pain points impacting retention.
Leverage data and customer insights to identify opportunities and act as the voice of the customer to propose communications that improve the Ring customer experience.
Test, track and measure the impact of retention initiatives on key metrics like device health, subscription renewals, and user engagement.
Communicate campaign performance and recommendations to leadership to inform future retention strategies.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in customer retention to continuously improve Ring's approach.
A day in the life
Each day brings new opportunities to impact Ring's customers and drive retention. You may start your day reviewing customer feedback and product usage data to identify friction points, then collaborate with the product team to develop an email campaign to reengage lapsed users. In the afternoon, you might present retention metrics and campaign results to leadership, while also planning for an upcoming product launch that requires a comprehensive retention strategy across multiple touchpoints. The variety of projects and ability to directly influence customer loyalty is what makes this role so exciting.

The Customer Experience & Engagement team is a dynamic group of marketing, product, creative, and analytical experts united by a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. Whether recommending new smart home solutions or ensuring current devices remain online and performing well, the CxE team is constantly finding ways to engage and retain Ring's growing customer base.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Experience with end to end product delivery
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Experience as a product manager or owner
Experience owning technology products
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
