Job Description

Teledyne Relays is seeking an experienced Assembler for the Coax Switch Department.

Summary and Responsibilities

Responsibilities for these positions include precision assembly operations, adjustment, and testing of Coax Switches to applicable procedures.

  • Candidate must have good eye-hand coordination - dexterity to assemble small parts

  • Ability to work with a microscope

  • Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and procedures

  • Must have good communication skills and be able to work in a team environment

  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature. Normally receives general instructions on routine assignments and detailed instructions on new assignments.

  • Visual inspection of solder joints, wiring & staking to IPC J-STD-001

Qualifications

Completion of a High School Diploma is preferred, GED is acceptable.

  • Candidates should have 2 to 4 years experience in at least one of the following areas to qualify for the Assembler/Tester 3 position:

  • Assembly of small components using a microscope

  • Adjustment of Relays or Switches or other electronics

  • Testing of Relays or Switches or other electronics

  • Able to read blue prints

  • Preference to individual with current or previous certification as an IPC J-STD-001 Inspector (CIS) up to Space level

  • Must be able to read and interpret documents and operation procedures. Must be able to communicate effectively to Lead, Supervisor, Customers (as required) and colleagues

  • Must have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished via written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with or assist in problem solving.

  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Will need to occasionally stand, walk, stoop/kneel/crouch, talk for feedback or hear for instructions, push/pull, carry up to 10 lbs; will frequently sit, use hands or fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms

  • VISION REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must be able to use close & far vision (20/20 vision at 14 inches or less & 20/50 far vision - both requirements can be met with corrected vision), ability to distinguish red, green, blue, and yellow colors as prescribed in Dvorine Charts, Ishihara Plates, or AO-HRR Tests, and have depth perception (3D vision - ability to judge distances and spatial relationships.

  • WORK ENVIRONMENT: will work near moving mechanical parts; Noise level is quiet.

Salary Range:

$35,090.00-$46,970.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
