Description

Admissions Specialist Registered Nurse (RN) clinical professional responsible for inquiries, assessments and admissions to the facility immediate opening.

Hours: 12pm - 8 pm

Monday- Friday

Duties and Responsibilities:

Facilitate admissions and assessment processes for incoming patients.

Responsible for: reviewing intake referrals on accepted patients, performing medication reconciliations, and perform nurse to nurse reports.

Collaborate with other facility medical and psychiatric personnel to ensure appropriate recommendations and admissions.

Ensure all medical admission documentation is gathered from external sources prior to patient admission and secure initial pre-authorization for treatment and admission.

Provide accurate and ongoing assessment of patient status in the admissions process.

Perform other duties as determined by the nursing supervisor: Assist units as needed with patient care assignments and perform nursing audits.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license as required by the state of MA
