This Position is for a Lead Maintenance Groundskeeper with an educational institution in Hattiesburg, MS.

Summary: To maintain campus grounds to maximize presentations to visitors, the community, students and employees

Duties and Responsibilities: Campus landscaping and plant maintenance at main entrances. Maintain a revolving cut schedule. Mowing, edging, weed trimming/control and clean up debris. Safe operations of all equipment. Use safety glasses/goggles and other appropriate safety equipment when operating equipment and dispersing chemicals. Maintenance of equipment in regard to the mechanical ability of the employee. Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance. Supports the Hattiesburg Public School District Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: Good health (Medical exam not required). Ability to work in extreme weather conditions. High school diploma or GED certified. At least one (year)'s experience in lawn care and/or landscaping including experience on a zero turn mower. Experience in cutting commercial properties is preferred. Valid Mississippi drivers license.

Reports To: Director of Operations or designee

Term Of Employment: Salary and work year to be established by the Board of Trustees.
