Job Summary

The University of Southern Mississippi invites applicants for a temporary, one-week position of Broadcast Boot Camp story coach to begin July 10.

The successful candidate will have a background in journalism or media production and be able to pass a background check.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist teams of high school students in completing written and visual assignments.

  • Be accessible to the students and solve problems as they present themselves.

  • Communicate regularly with fellow counselors and the workshop director.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    High School diploma or GED. Demonstrated campus media experience.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Working with high school students in a productive, supportive manner.

  • The ability to work with diverse groups/populations

    Preferred Qualifications

    Prior experience teaching or working in a campus setting. College degree.
