Need 10 full time, temporary, seasonal Nursery Workers to work in Hastings, MN. From: 02/15/2024 - 12/15/2024 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 8 hrs./day High wage range offer of up to $24.34/hour, depending on experience. May be possibility of weekend work. All work performed in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. ESST (Earned Sick and Safe Time) Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Must Apply By: 07/17/2024 NOTE: JOB DUTIES: Duties may include harvesting, loading, unloading, planting, mulching, fertilizing, watering, weed pulling, weed spraying, and maintaining plants including balled and burlapped, container, and bare root trees, shrubs, perennials and other plants; drive various farm equipment: tractors, skid loaders, and trucks. Perform regular maintenance on tools and equipment used & other related Nursery Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org). Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Must have static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 60lbs (possible 2-person); may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified. Variable weather conditions may apply. Cell Phone use during work hours (outside of employer-designated break periods) is strictly prohibited. Worker must be able to obtain valid U.S. driver's license within 2 weeks of reporting to work. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years old; no experience necessary, employer will train; must be able to lift, push, pull, unload, and carry up to 60 lbs. (possible 2-person lifting); no minimum education requirement. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show legal authorization to work in the United States. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Required tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
