POSITION OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSE:

The Executive Director is the principal, on-site staff person responsible for the development, execution, and documentation of all Chamber projects. The Executive Director is responsible for daily operations of the Chamber office and staff. The Executive Director must fully understand issues confronting business and property owners, public agencies, and community organizations, and also needs to be entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, creative, well organized, and capable of functioning effectively in an independent environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Executive Director is responsible to the Board of Directors and reports directly to the President and the Executive Board. The Executive Director will be evaluated annually by the President in conjunction with the Executive Board.

The Executive Director will serve as a committee person on all subsidiary Board of Directors and project committees. The Executive Directorwill organize specific projects for committees, and willwork with the President, Officers and Committee Chairpersons to ensure that committee functions are carried out.

The Executive Director will work with the Board to develop and present a plan of operation, the annual budget, and the funding process. The Executive Director will oversee and develop office procedures and manage overhead costs within the approved budget. The Executive Director will ensure the preparation of accurate, timely, monthly and yearly financial statements with detailed information.

The Executive Director will facilitate membership campaigns. The Executive Director shall survey and address member needs in a proactive manner. The Executive Director must maintain contact with current membership and focus on recruitment of new membership. The Executive Director will develop and maintain a strong, open, respectful working relationship with the Membership, Board of Directors and the Community.The Executive Director will carry outthe responsibilities for the Chamber office to ensure its efficient operation as an attractive \"front door\" to the community. The Executive Director will keep the website up-to-date.

Performs other related duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.
