Spherion Personnel Quality Inspector in Hartselle, Alabama
Job Summary:
Spherion is hiring detail-oriented and dependable Quality Inspectors to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards through detailed inspections and testing. You will examine materials, components, and finished products for defects, measure specifications, and document findings to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, proficiency in using a tape measure, inspection tools, and follow a quality assurance process.
Responsibilities:
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of materials, and finished products. Use inspection tools, including tape measures down to 1/16th of an inch to verify product specifications Detect defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from quality standards. Document and report any issues to the appropriate team Verify that products meet internal and customer quality standards, as well as regulatory requirements Work closely with production, engineering, and management teams to address quality issues Participate in quality audits and contribute to process improvement initiatives Follow all workplace safety regulations and promote a safe working environment
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with using advanced inspection tools, measuring, using calipers, gauges Experience interpreting technical drawings or engineering specifications Understanding of quality control methodologies, standards, and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or ASQ certifications). Observational skills and a meticulous approach to identifying defects or inconsistencies. Capability to troubleshoot quality issues and recommend corrective actions. Proficiency in maintaining detailed inspection reports, quality records, and data logs
Required Skills:
Tape Measure Proficiency, a tape measure test will be given to you during interview Must pass a tape measure test with a score of 100% during the interview process Comfort with standing, walking, or bending for extended periods during inspections. Willingness to learn and adapt to new inspection methods or processes. Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment. Capable of recording and maintaining accurate inspection results and report Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
