Job Description

These candidates will be working as Controllers supporting a large regional utilities/construction company that is based near Huntsville, AL. The primary responsibility for the controller level role would be overseeing the team of junior/senior accounts and reviewing their work. They will help manage the budget and forecasting processes as well. This candidate will need to have a thorough understanding of full cycle accounting including their full set of books, handling general ledger, reviewing financial statements, monthly closes, etc. They may also help with the implementation of their new leasing system software (CoStar) and help handle the financials that are input into that system.

Skills and Requirements

-Recent experience accounting in large corporate environments (avoid candidates who solely have government, non-profit, or single accountant experience)

-5+ years of experience as a "full cycle" accountant

-2+ years of experience in a leadership position (controller/director)

-General Ledger

-Reviewing financial statements & P/L Statements

-Reconciling balance sheets

-Monthly close -Fixed Asset experience

-Background in construction, utilities, storm, etc.

-Leasing software experience (CoStar preferably) null
