Job Description

An employer is seeking a WebSphere Solution Architect to join their team based in Hartford, CT. The position is open because the company is looking to modernize one of their essential applications that is currently running on WebSphere Traditional 8.5.5 in an IBM mainframe environment. They are looking for a Solution Architect to lead the effort of morning this to IBM WebSphere Liberty and eXtreme Scale technologies. This resource will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable, high-performance solutions for this effort. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining architectural documentation, technical specifications, and deployment plans. They will need to develop and implement strategies for distributed caching, including in-memory data management and data replication. They will need to provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams while promoting best practices in cloud-native microservices architecture. This person will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to WebSphere Liberty and eXtreme scale.

Skills and Requirements

6+ years of experience as a Solution Architect focused on WebSphere and related technologies

Expertise with WebSphere Liberty and eXtreme Scale

Expertise with WebSphere running on a mainframe environment

Core technical expertise with J2EE, Java, and related technologies

Strong knowledge of distributed caching and in-memory data grids Background within cloud, specifically WebSphere in the cloud null
