Job Description
The Supervisor of Assisted Living Services (SALSA) holds primary responsibility and authority for maintaining the quality of all clinical services. This role includes the coordination and guidance of clinical staff to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services to clients and the community.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage all nursing and assisted living aide services rendered to clients by direct service staff.
Participate in or develop agency objectives, standards of care, policies, and procedures concerning nursing services and the provision of assistance with activities of daily living.
Participate in direct service staff recruitment, selection, orientation, and in-service education.
Participate in program planning, budgeting, and evaluating activities related to the clinical services provided by the agency.
Supervise assigned nursing personnel and assisted living aides in the delivery of nursing services and assistance with activities of daily living.
Ensure the evaluation of the clinical competence of assigned nursing personnel and assisted living aides.
Provide individual counseling and nursing supervision of staff, consulting with nurses individually and providing guidance as necessary to improve the service.
Ensure the availability of nursing services on a twenty-four (24) hour basis.
Provide weekly reports to the service coordinator regarding any problems associated with the provision of core services or any concerns associated with managed residential community or assisted living services agency.
Provide monthly reports to the service coordinator regarding statistical data, including the number of clients served and services provided, and summaries for the governing authority.
Serve as a liaison between staff and other administrative or consultative personnel.
Perform other duties as mutually agreed upon by the employee and employer.
Essential Skills
2-4 years of nursing experience within the past 10 years.
Experience home healthcare, community health, home healthcare, or assisted living.
Associate's degree at minimum.
Bilingual proficiency.

Work Environment
Oversees 4 LPNs and approximately 20-25 Home Health Aides (part-time and full-time) across 3 shifts. Shifts available are 7-3, 8-4, and 9-5. The Retreat is the first urban-built affordable assisted living community in Connecticut, celebrating its 15th anniversary. The community consists of 100 apartments with a combination of studios and one-bedrooms, featuring private bathrooms, step or roll-in showers, kitchenettes, individually controlled heat and air conditioning, and a 24-hour emergency response system. All homes are wheelchair accessible. Members and guests enjoy various amenities, including Living and Family Rooms, Library, Media Room, Internet Café, Chapel, and South End Market. The Retreat provides excellent on-site medical care and a wide range of social and recreational activities. Dress code is professional attire.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $120000.00
