We have an exciting remote opportunity for a Solution Architect!

What You Will Do:

  • Collaboration with customers to gain knowledge of business processes.

  • Partnering with customers to identify and implement high impact projects which will provide capabilities and benefits that help P&W achieve its operational goals.

  • Translating customer requirements into a solution design.

  • Leading project schedules and resources to implement projects.

  • Meeting all budget, quality and schedule targets.

  • Technical and functional problem solving.

  • Dedicated involvement towards continuous improvement.

  • Manage the lifecycle of applications through conception, design, implementation, testing, release, and support.

  • Lead the process for collaboration and organizational learnings with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.

  • Manage the finances and reporting of team progress to leadership in a federal contract environment.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems and 8+ years’ experience of handling large complicated digital technology projects; OR a Master's Degree with 5+ years’ experience of handling large complicated digital technology projects,

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen – this position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

Qualifications We Prefer:

You will have experience in several of the following competencies:

  • Familiarity with Java Applications and Oracle Database.

  • Experience with infrastructure industry standards and trends on multiple platforms including Windows, Linux/UNIX, Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).

  • Experience with Software Development practices and frameworks.

  • Experience with Software Product Lifecycle practices for managing software, automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.

  • Ability to learn, understand and interpret business processes; ability to act in partnership with the business.

  • Experience with delivering end user training & documentation.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
