As a critical member of the Strategy Advancement team, the Risk & Compliance Manager, Program Management will oversee risk, compliance, and audit activities for the Data, AI and Analytics Office (DAO). This individual contributor role requires exceptional coordination and organizational skills, collaborating closely with various IT internal risk, compliance and audit teams. You’ll oversee this process centrally for DAO, ensuring that all compliance, audit activities and remediations are proactively coordinated and completed as well as establishing a set of KPIs to proactively monitor overall portfolio compliance.

This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office (Columbus, OH, Chicago, IL, Hartford, CT or Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Responsibilities
Develop a structured framework to guide the DAO’s collaboration with our internal and external risk, compliance and audit partners.
Collaborate with internal audit, vulnerability, cyber, compliance, and governance teams to develop a centralized and proactive approach to work intake.
Baseline, proactively monitor and create action plans around portfolio KPIs and create executive dashboards to provide visibility and transparency to our senior leaders within their organizations.
Coordinate and potentially escalate DAO remediation activities, integrating as many reverse demand requests into sprint planning as possible.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify compliance gaps and develop strategies and timelines for mitigation.
Develop and maintain a roadmap different compliance, audit and performance initiatives throughout the year in collaboration with internal teams.
Establish and maintain effective communication channels to proactively provide regular updates on compliance initiatives.
Promote and demonstrate the importance of security controls and their business value.
Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices to proactively identify emerging compliance risks and opportunities for improvement.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, excellence and inclusion.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional work experience
Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices, particularly in the context of data, analytics and AI
5+ years of IT program management and delivery, with at least 3 years in risk management, compliance or a related field in the tech industry
Proven track record of implementing and managing compliance or performance programs in a complex, regulated environment.
Experience creating executive level dashboards
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including SOX, CCPA/CCPR etc.
Results-oriented and resourceful, capable of quickly taking control of responsibilities and establishing credibility as a strategic business partner.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interface with C-level executives, senior leaders and stakeholders.
Exceptional strategic, analytic and critical thinking skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$116,400 - $174,600
