The Pharmacy IT Technician is responsible for the implementation and management of pharmacy information systems and related hardware as assigned. Our Pharmacy IT Technician assists the System IT Pharmacy team in troubleshooting of IT systems, standard compliance reporting, and billing practices as assigned. Responsibilities include but, are not limited to the following: * Provide frontline troubleshooting of all Pharmacy information systems including, but not limited to: Pyxis, Par-X, Compounding 360, Pharmacy Logistics and Repackaging. * Works collaboratively with Care Connect team to assess and resolve issues related to the electronic health records IT System. * Completes assigned daily compliance reports related to billing and/or systems compliance. * Develop, implement, and maintain monitoring processes to evaluate the effectiveness of services provided and adjust these processes to meet the needs of the institution. * Manages and reviews implementation plans, monitors and assists installation activities conducted by hospital staff and outside vendors to ensure agreed timetables are maintained. *_Experience:_ * Three (3) years’ experience as a pharmacy technician or information systems analyst required * Experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital pharmacy environment preferred * Additional experience in managing automated cabinetry (Pyxis) or other pharmacy IT systems preferred * Prior experience overseeing information technology systems preferred _Education:_ * Bachelor’s Degree required _Licenses/Certifications:_ * Current National Pharmacy Technician Certification required * Pharmacy registration with Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection within 30 days of hire and by March 31st of each year.
