Oracle Opower Inside Sales Representative in Hartford, Connecticut

Job Description

Opower, which became part of Oracle in 2016, is a customer engagement and energy optimization platform that ingests and analyzes utility meter data and surfaces that data in meaningful ways. A common theme across our suite of solutions is combining behavioral science principles with artificial intelligence to provide customers with personalized, actionable insights that drive outcomes related to energy efficiency, peak demand reduction, decarbonization, equity, customer satisfaction, and utility operations. Cumulatively, Opower has delivered 38 TWh of energy savings, including over 450M therms, resulting in over $3.6B in customer bill savings and over 17M metric tons of CO2 emissions avoided.

In this role, you will…

Expand recurring revenue at current accounts, achieve an annual software & services sales quota, and continually qualify new sales opportunities.

Be present with our clients & prospects. Learn their organizations, turn any detractors into advocates, and convert leads into deals.

Personally carry conversations about Opower products and Oracle. You’ll work with stellar Oracle colleagues to continually shape the Oracle story.

Collaborate with account teams and Oracle leadership. You’ll partner with field sales and account teams to execute cross-functional account plans.

Map client budgeting & procurement processes to Oracle processes. Efficiently create and close executable contracts.

Duties and tasks are varied and are complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. Contacts are within the organization and with external customers. 3-5+ years business experience. Proven ability to manage complex sales cycle, with a track record of successful lead generation and qualification that led to revenue attainment. Excellent communication, negotiating and closing skills with customers. Typically bachelor degree in Business, Science or equivalent.

As an Inside Sales Representative you will sell products and services to an assigned territory to achieve assigned objectives. You will...

  • Generate sales leads as well as closing the sales online or by phone.

  • Utilize inbound and/or outbound calls to pursue sales.

  • Develop account penetration strategies, and closes business.

  • Be responsible for understanding Oracle's product offerings and competitive issues.

  • Identify new business opportunities by creating and implementing territory campaigns with management assistance.

  • Liaise with customer contacts for the purpose of managing the customer relationship, identifying new opportunities, and selling Oracle products and services.

  • Manage sales opportunities using CRM in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Participate as a team member on sales teams including field sales, support and education sales and sales consulting.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $26.92 to $43.17 per hour; from $56,000 to $89,800 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 50/50 - 65/35.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
