Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

$91,800.00 - $151,600.00

What Is the Opportunity?
Records and Information Management provides a framework for keeping the right information for the right amount of time in the right way to reduce the risk for the enterprise. Manage team of employees who provide consultation service to all areas of the company in responding to questions and problems related to the records and information management program across the enterprise and within the department. For certain roles, manage vendors relationships necessary to properly and efficiently manage all of Travelers records across the enterprise. For certain roles, research and understand content storage and management technologies used or proposed for use in the Company and work with IT/Business Areas/Legal to develop framework for records and information management controls.
What Will You Do?
Directly manages a staff of Sr. Records Management Consultants, Records Management Consultants and Analysts that provide support to Travelers employees for questions or problems related to Records and Information Management.
Provide oversight and lead one or more of the following records functions:
Offsite storage
Shredding
Destruction authorization
Retention schedules
Records and Information Management related systems (OPUS, Filenet, iManage, Versatile, etc.)
Annual compliance attestations
Assists in establishing strategic planning for the vision and standards within records and information management which will align with strategic goals of the company.
Provides consulting services to all areas of the company to solve records and information management issues or improve business records processes.
Actively participates and/or leads the analysis, evaluation, and implementation of policies, standards, and processes that improve records and information management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in records management, library science and/or computer technology preferred
6+ years’ experience in records management related field preferred
1+ years’ experience managing others preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency with planning, organizing and group facilitations skills preferred.
Strong Project management skills. Ability to handle multiple projects/work simultaneously.
Organizational, strategic thinking, interpersonal, time management, quantitative reasoning, verbal, and written communication skills.
Demonstrates critical thinking skills. Ability to self-initiate learning and development. Ability to discern and apply acquired knowledge in daily work.
Advanced ability to lead teams, while, at the same time, ability to take full responsibility for multiple tasks with little or no direction preferred.
CRM (Certified Records Manager) certification preferred.
What is a Must Have?
High school diploma required.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience required in insurance or records management or information systems or related field.
For certain roles required to have advanced knowledge of some or all the following: MS Access (creating, updating, appending and selecting queries, tables, running reports, etc.), Importing and exporting data, Relational databases, SQL, Filenet (file plans, metadata) or other content management systems required.
