$10,000 Sign on Bonus for external candidates.
Position Purpose
This position is responsible for the deliverance of safe patient care to the adult patient under the direct supervision of a physician or a registered nurse during Cardiac Catheterization Procedures. Working closely with the cardiologist or interventional cardiologist, cardiac nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure safe and effective patient care during procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, structural heart procedures, Peripheral angiograms/interventions, pulmonary embolism cases, hybrid operating room cases.
What you will do
Responsible for training new and current technologists in all related invasive procedures and trouble-shooting of equipment including quality control.
Assist in invasive cardiology procedures, hemodynamic and patient monitoring, patient education, use of radiological imaging equipment, film development, set up of sterile fields.
Assists and performs technical procedures on patients of all ages particularly adults.
Assist in assuring all necessary equipment is sterile, functioning, and ready for use during procedures. This includes monitoring devices, catheters, and defibrillators.
Perform routine checks on cardiac cath lab room equipment.
Assisting in departmental inventory management and ordering.
Assisting in Environment of Care rounding within the department.
Provides “on-call” shift coverage.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Registered Cardiovascular Technology program (RCIS/RCES). AS degree or equivalent required.
Licensure: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Credentialing International. CVIT Certification preferred. RCIS/ RCES.
Experience: 2-3 years prior experience preferred. CPR/BLS required.
