The Role
Lead or participate in the design and implementation of complex Network Solutions including Managed Network Services and non-standard Managed Network Services NOC, SD-WAN, SIP / SBC solutions, staff augmentation, and custom network professional services offerings that achieve the client's business needs and goals. The Architect is responsible to provide consultative technical expertise which includes the preparation and presentation of detailed designs and configuration blueprints for complex managed solutions.
Location
This role is designated as a fully remote position within the United States.
The Main Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and high-performance software architectures using Java and network protocols.
Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards.
Collaborate with product management to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Analyze and optimize system performance, ensuring efficient resource utilization and network performance.
Conduct code reviews and establish quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of code quality.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending tools and technologies that can enhance our software architecture.
Create and maintain architectural documentation, including design specifications, architectural diagrams, and technical standards.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
7+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java and network architecture or cloud deployments
Proficiency in Java, Redis, and related technologies, Lucene Indices, microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and Network Connectivity.
Cloud Implementations – particularly Azure and AWS.
Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, Traps, etc.) and distributed systems.
Proven experience leading technical teams and projects. Able to coach younger / less experienced developers as well as create a good working relationship with offshore developers

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$94,420 - $125,890 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD
$99,390 - $132,510 in these states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, IA, IN, KS, MO, MT, ND, NM, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY
$104,360 - $139,140 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI
$109,330 - $145,770 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA
As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
