Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Intake Clinician to join our team. The Intake Clinician will be responsible for conducting initial assessments of clients seeking mental health services. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team and have a strong desire to help others.
Essential Position Duties
- Manage referrals to the Behavioral Health Department
- Conduct screening of persons interested in Behavioral Health Services
- Complete intake assessments and clinical formulations timely
- Utilize the most current DSM to diagnose applicants
- Assign intake to appropriate clinicians for therapy services
- Complete Insurance authorizations for Services
- Assess applicants for MAT services
- Conduct Open Access Therapy when applicable
- Comply with agency regulations and policies
- Referrals to higher levels of care if applicable
- Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
- Any other duties as assigned
- Must maintain appropriate attendance.
- Performs miscellaneous duties as required by management.
Compliance Responsibilities
- Complies with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures including but not limited to those within the Compliance Process, Code of Conduct and HIPAA.
- Participates in required orientation and training programs, as required.
- Reports concerns and suspected incidences of non-compliance in accordance with COHC Compliance Re porting Process.
- Cooperates with monitoring and audit functions and investigations.
- Participates, as requested, in process improvement responsibilities.

Requirements
Professional Experience/Educational Requirements
- Complete all agency required trainings
- Education: Masters degree and license in a related field such as: Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy
Certification/Licensure
- Maintain Licensure in related field
- CPR
