Job Title: Financial Reporting Manager
Compensation range: $120,000 - 150,000 + Bonus
Location: Greater Hartford, CT area / Hybrid
Position Type: Full Time/Permanent Position

As a Financial Reporting Manager, your primary role will be to manage and oversee financial reporting controls, risk assessment, and governance. You will also be involved in the implementation of internal controls and optimization of business processes.
Main Responsibilities:
Oversee the development and establishment of an internal controls framework
Actively participate in the implementation of control environment initiatives, aligning them with industry best practices and standards
Collaborate with process owners to develop and implement effective remediation plans for identified control deficiencies, monitor progress to completion, and validate that implementation achieves control objectives
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify key controls, evaluate the effectiveness of control design, and assess the overall control environment
Work with cross-functional teams to optimize business processes, actively seeking standardization and automation opportunities, and integrating effective internal controls into operations
Proactively identify and communicate risks associated with proposed and new business activities and support the assessment of new transactions and the controls required to support them
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related
Advanced Degree or CPA preferred
5+ years of progressive experience including SOX compliance experience
Experience within Public Accounting industry or within financial services preferred
Knowledge of US GAAP, STAT, SEC Reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley
