Entry Level Financial Analyst
Location: Hartford, CT
Job Overview
We are seeking an entry-level Financial Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial monitoring and analysis, ensuring adherence to the approved budget, and assisting with budget revisions. This role involves submitting various reports to funders, understanding program cost constraints, and processing accounts receivable. The Financial Analyst will work closely with the CFO, A&F, Grants, and Budget teams.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze financial activities to ensure they are on/off budget.
Assist with budget revision edits.
Submit monthly and quarterly reports.
Understand program cost constraints and help the team stay on track.
Process accounts receivable.
Utilize Excel for financial analysis, including pivot tables and macros.
Integrate writing with financial reports.
Top Skills
Proficiency in accounting and GAAP principles.
Strong financial reporting skills.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, macros).
Excellent written communication skills.
Non-profit experience is a plus.
Secondary Skills
- Knowledge of finance principles.
Qualifications
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles, fund or governmental accounting practices and principles.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.34 - $26.00
