CenterWell Copywriter 2 (VSP/PT) in Hartford, Connecticut

The Copywriter 2 (VSP/PT) develops creative, clear-written material in support of the organization's communications strategies. The Copywriter 2 (VSP/PT) is responsible for the bulk of the written content on our consumer-facing Go365 websites and mobile apps. This individual is also responsible for keeping copy decks up-to-date so that all those making modifications to our products are seeing consistency in the content. The Copywriter 2 (VSP/PT) collaborates with Legal and Compliance for both our Medicare and Medicaid lines of business.

The Copywriter 2 (VSP/PT) plans, develops, and publishes internal or external communications (e.g., mobile app or website). Individuals in this role will develop and maintain the organization's style guide, including editorial standards and policies. The Copywriter 2 (VSP/PT) is responsible for creating engaging and concise content that drives user engagement. Written content should be user-centered and aims to help users achieve their goals within digital products quickly and efficiently. Additionally, the Copywriter 2 (VSP/PT) will create content that prevents or alleviates user pain points via descriptive error messaging.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation

  • Write and edit high-quality and engaging customer-facing content that aligns with brand voice, legal and accessibility requirements

  • Work with designers, developers and product managers to ensure seamless content integration

  • Maintain existing copy decks and create new copy decks as necessary

  • Submit and track content through the mandatory Corporate and Legal Review processes

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Advertising, Journalism, Marketing, Communications or related field

  • 3 or more years of copywriting experience

  • Strategic thought leader with the ability to transform business needs into compelling consumer language

  • Deep understanding and experience in consumer communications

  • Intellectual writing approach, ability to translate strategy and business needs into appropriate language solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare experience

  • Experience writing for digital products

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$63,400 - $87,400 per year
