We are seeking a dedicated Adult Clinician to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure adherence to infection control practices, make referrals for medical and psychological intervention, collect urine specimens for drug screening, and orient new patients to treatment programs. Additionally, the Adult Clinician will identify potential customers, provide information about agency programs, complete required paperwork in a timely manner, maintain customer confidentiality, and provide ongoing liaison, referral, and advocacy for participants. Participation in team meetings, community provider interactions, and presentations about programs is also required.
Responsibilities
Ensure adherence to infection control practices.
Make referrals to outside programs for medical and/or psychological intervention.
Collect urine specimens for drug screening.
Orient new patients to treatment programs.
Identify potential customers and provide information about agency programs.
Complete required paperwork, including customer records, in a timely manner.
Maintain customer confidentiality.
Provide ongoing liaison, referral, and advocacy for participants with social service providers, emphasizing self-empowerment.
Participate in team meetings, seminars, and trainings.
Engage with community providers in relation to program content.
Present information about programs to various agencies and other referring agencies on a monthly basis.
Essential Skills
Master's degree in social work or related field with a license (LCSW, LADC, LMFT, LPC).
Three years of related clinical experience with homelessness, mental health, or substance use.
Proficiency in databases, MS Office, written reports, and maintenance of case notes.
Strong organizational, motivational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Specialized training in crisis intervention, substance use and/or mental illness, domestic violence, or any other applicable training related to the field of work.
Experience working with participants from diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds with effective communication skills.
Knowledge of Human Services, Criminal Justice, Court systems, substance use, and target populations.
Thorough knowledge of co-occurring disorders and social services in Hartford with the ability to collaborate with other service providers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bi-lingual skills (Spanish) are a plus.
Case management experience is beneficial.
Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position involves interaction with various social service providers, participation in team meetings, and community engagements. The role requires adherence to infection control practices and maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00/hr.
