Job Title: Avionics Technician

Job Description

Avionics Technician is responsible for installation, troubleshooting and repair, and maintenance of electronic systems. This includes basic soldering and harness build-up, fault isolation and repair, wire stripping and crimping.

Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in a high-quality and efficient manner. Troubleshoot and test instruments, components, and assemblies using various tools such as circuit testers, oscilloscopes, voltmeters, etc. Inspect, maintain, and install electronic systems, such as navigational systems, radar technology, radio communication systems, flight control tools, and other avionics systems. Perform operational/functional checks on aircraft electrical systems and equipment. Install, route, upgrade, and repair wire harnesses. Install avionics equipment per engineering drawings while following wiring standards.

Hard Skills

  • troubleshooting (systems check)

  • A&P license preferred

  • Wire harness fabrication and installation

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Bridgewater, Virginia.

Work Environment

Individuals will be working in a hangar environment and will be in a MRO type environment. The company has several heavy maintenance and modification projects. Individuals will work off the production schedule to include work cards where they will be required to complete work in a designated time frame.
