The opportunity:
Looking for candidates to fill entry level manufacturing positions as needed. Employees responsible for helping run high speed carton forming equipment safely, performing preventative and breakdown maintenance, and participating on a safety team and a production improvement team. Responsibilities also include set up and changeover of machines, production paperwork and assisting crew with all responsibilities that assure quality product and efficient production. How you will impact WestRock:
Assist in establishing and sustaining a clean and well-organized facility
Assist in creating a more "proactive" approach towards safety with employee involvement
Ensure that safe working conditions are observed
Ability to interact with integrity with the crew and plant leadership
Must meet company’s safety, quality, and productivity standards
Interact with improvement teams to resolve production issues
Continually look for opportunities to improve processes and optimize equipment efficiency
Standard hand tools provided by the company
What you need to succeed:
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Willing to work 12-hour shifts. 36-hours/48-hour alternate weeks
Willing to work night
Overtime as needed
Teamwork
