JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Harrisburg seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Student Fee Specialist to join the Office of Student Engagement as part of the Student Initiated Fee support team. The successful candidate will provide support during student fee meetings and manage all post-award responsibilities for the Student Initiated Fee. This includes post-award procurement, reconciliation, expense organization, and annual auditing of about $2,000,000 in student fee funds. This position requires strong organization, as well as excellent written & verbal communication skills. Computer system and data management proficiencies will also be required, particularly in Excel and Power BI.

Key Responsibilities:

Purchase, procure, organize, and reconcile all expenses related to student-initiated fees.

Utilize Excel and Power BI data systems for managing financial data and generating reports.

Reconcile all expenses to SIMBA, Penn State's financial management system.

Take detailed minutes during Student Allocation Committee meetings.

Supervise student workers who support the Student Initiated Fee.

Assist in yearly fiscal auditing processes to ensure compliance with university policies and procedures.

Procure and organize expenses by reconciling financial records and maintaining accurate documentation.

Coordinate and book travel arrangements for student conferences and related events.

Review and uphold the Penn State Harrisburg Student Initiated Fee Handbook and ensure compliance with university-wide student fee policies and procedures.

Assist with office-wide events and activities.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or Vocational Training/Degree,  2+ years of relevant experience, Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reconciliation.

Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience.

Experience with procurement processes and knowledge of financial auditing procedures.

Familiarity with university financial systems, such as SIMBA.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is: $38,300.00 - $55,500.00
