About the Role:
The Business Technology Strategy & Operations (BTSO) team at Confluent plays a central role in leading the strategic planning and execution for the Business Technology organization. We are responsible for overseeing and streamlining a wide range of technology initiatives and processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall success.
The Business Technology Strategy & Operations team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Program Manager to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a vital role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of internal processes in technology operations. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong background in program management, process improvement, and architecture governance.
What You Will Do:
Lead and drive process improvement initiatives across various internal processes, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and delivery outcomes.
Manage the Architecture Review Board, ensuring all technical projects comply with enterprise architecture standards and systems governance.
Develop, implement, and maintain program governance frameworks to ensure consistent and predictable project execution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Business Systems, Application Engineering, and senior leadership, to ensure alignment and achieve business goals.
Facilitate change management processes, promoting the adoption of new technologies and methodologies within the organization.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with project delivery, ensuring the successful completion of programs.
Monitor and report on program performance, providing insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
10+ years of experience in program management, preferably within an enterprise technology organization.
Proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives and managing architecture review boards.
Strong technical background with hands-on experience in designing and implementing IT processes
Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and project management frameworks (PMP, Scrum, Lean Six Sigma certifications are a plus).
Proficient in using project management tools (e.g., JIRA)
Exceptional problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
PMP certification preferred

This position has an annual estimated salary of $153,600 - $180,450 and a competitive equity package. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
