DESCRIPTION OF WORK The work in this position comes from a small office with broad reach. You have the opportunity to influence the direction of public health for years to come. The Office of Operational Excellence, a relatively new office, reports to the executive deputy secretary to allow staff to interact with all other bureaus and offices.

Duties include collaborating with the State Health Improvement Plan to develop quarterly and annual work plans, identifying targets, and providing direction to members on how contributions help the strategies of the agency.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week. Work days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. Telework eligible full-time with one (1) day a month in the office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Please check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Public Health Program Associate 2 (commonwealth title); or A bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in the development, analysis, or monitoring of programs, grants, or contracts in health, human services, social or behavioral services, health care services, or health insurance; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
