This position in the Workforce Development (WFD) Team manages and administers the Internship and Fellowship Programs and is funded by the Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG) through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This position is supervised by the WFD Program Manager and works closely with the Data Analytics Specialist to set program goals, objectives, and performance measures to ensure the Internship and Fellowship Programs are successful. DESCRIPTION OF WORK Duties include staying up to date on all federal requirements regarding the PHIG, including reporting deadlines, required metrics and performance measures, and reporting methods; assisting the DOH program managers with drafting project plans, statements of work, selection, engagement, and evaluation for Interns and fellows; developing and maintaining internship and fellowship program materials; and working collaboratively with a broad cross-section of internal leaders and external collaborators to advance multiple academic public health partnerships, using evidence-based and best practices in public health workforce development, recruitment, and retention. Also, you prepare reports for program planning and development, performance measures, and recruitment and retention efforts. You work closely with the Data Analytics Specialist to track and monitor program progress and success.

Additional duties include overseeing quality assurance to evaluate the impact of recruitment and retention efforts, collaborating with HR for onboarding new interns and fellows, reviewing fiscal reports prepared by the Data Analytics Specialist, attending meetings with federal and external partners, and networking with other WFD teams nationwide.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You would report to the office one (1) day per month. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Please check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Public Health Program Associate 2 (commonwealth title); or A bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in the development, analysis, or monitoring of programs, grants, or contracts in health, human services, social or behavioral services, health care services, or health insurance; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
