Reference #: 4316529 THE POSITION The Department of Health is actively seeking a detail-oriented professional with excellent communications skills to join our dynamic team as a Public Health Program Administrator in the Bureau of Health Promotion and Risk Reduction, Division of Tobacco Prevention and Control. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Public Health Program Administrator, you will be responsible for reviewing and approving fiscal documents, completing contractual amendments, and utilizing data to monitor contract deliverables for assigned vendors. You will also be called upon at times to present at various conferences and meetings and travel to state and national conferences as a representative of the Division.

In this position, you will act as primary oversight of the statewide tobacco coalition organization, reviewing materials, coordinating meetings, and tracking reports and submitted documents as needed and act as project officer for assigned statewide tobacco specialist organizations focused on disparately affected populations including, but not limited to, rural, Latino, and African American communities, including attendance at relevant meetings and discussions with regional and state contractors.

An ideal candidate communicates well with coworkers, programs under their purview, and their supervisor, creates effective linkages with relevant programs within the Bureau and Department to maintain and approve fiscal and programmatic efficiency, and is familiar with the use and review of data to monitor efficacy of project deliverables.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework). Current part-time telework schedule is 1 day a month in the office but subject to change. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Public Health Program Associate 2 (commonwealth title); or A bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in the development, analysis, or monitoring of programs, grants, or contracts in health, human services, social or behavioral services, health care services, or health insurance; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
