DESCRIPTION OF WORK You will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient procuring of commodities and services in a field-centric Department. This is accomplished through serving as a Lead Worker for three (3), Procurement Specialists 1 accountable for various purchasing needs for the Department as well as a concerted focus on the tutelage of the Department's administrative staff in Procurement policies, procedures, and best practices. You must posses a concrete comprehension of the Department of General Services' (DGS) statewide contracts, invitation to Qualify (ITQ) contracts, competitive solicitations, and agency-specific contracts. Furthermore, this position serves as a primary resource for a variety of procurement programs. Finally, you will provide support and guidance to 124 State Parks' Field Offices, 4 State Parks' Regional Offices, 21 Forest Districts, and all Central Office program areas located within the Rachel Carson Building.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. You will be required to report one-day per month to the headquarter office and one day per quarter to the Rachel Carson Building in Harrisburg, PA. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience as a Procurement Specialist 1 (commonwealth title); or One year of professional experience performing contract management work; and a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, logistics, project, or operations management, or a related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
