DESCRIPTION OF WORK

A Procurement Specialist 2 is responsible for providing a wide range of analytical and consultative procurement and processing functions to department program personnel during proposal and contract development. In this position, you will develop statements of work, pricing methodologies, performance measures, and proposal evaluation criteria. Other duties include providing recommendations for process improvements and assisting with other procurements as required. You will provide guidance to senior division and bureau personnel, along with program offices, regarding contracting issues. Additionally, you will support ongoing supervision of the contract liaison network, ensuring efficient communication of contract-related information among executive management and program offices. You will also provide technical assistance to program office personnel on contracting and contract management matters, and prepare, lead, and conduct negotiations for complex procurements. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. This position will receive paid parking! Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. For the first four weeks of employment, you will report to the office three days per week. After successful completion of the first four weeks, you will report to the office one day per week. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience as a Procurement Specialist 1 (commonwealth title); or One year of professional experience performing contract management work; and a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, logistics, project, or operations management, or a related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
