UPMC Physician Referral Liaison in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

UPMC is hiring a Full-Time, Physician Referral Liaison to support the office in Harrisburg.
Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
Occasional weekends and evenings may be required to support events and business development needs.
Travel will be required within the Harrisburg area on a routine basis to assist with internal and external customers.
Possible travel to York or Hanover 25% of the time.

Responsibilities:
Know and follow all organizational/departmental policies/procedures.
Serve as ombudsman to identify and resolve issues related to relationships, referrals or other operational matters and refer issues to the appropriate leader.
Develop and coordinate all referral source direct marketing and sales activity for UPMC Central PA.
Represent regional centers of excellence and other allied services as appropriate.
Produce monthly activity reports on visits; identify opportunities and issues; track progress and resolution.
Meet regularly with referral sources to educate them on the services available through UPMC Central PA.
Facilitate educational programs for referral sources on specific topics and ensure that clients and referral sources have adequate marketing information and literature.
Actively practice behaviors associated with SH Service Excellence expectations.

Assume responsibility for personal education and performance related to patient safety; report unsafe conditions or events immediately; speak up in a non-confrontational and educational manner when seeing a safety breech; develop or participate in a project or action plan to reduce risk or mitigate harm for patients, as appropriate.
Collect and analyze trend data from financial, business planning and other sources in collaboration with director to target opportunities to grow strategic volume or address issues.
Promote the organization through education to hospitals, physician, office managers and other customers.
Work closely with leaders and medical directors to manage accounts and to ensure customer satisfaction.
Provide market intelligence to service lines.
Develop and maintain referral information through the use of Data Warehouse and other available billing data.
Monitor the healthcare environment for trends and opportunities for UPMC Central PA.
Research and make recommendations for new program development.
Bachelors Required
Bachelor's in business or healthcare field is preferred.
Three years physician outreach and/or customer service experience working for a healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device or related business required. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
