JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The School of Public Affairs is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant. This opening is 24 hours per week.The hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 1/2 hour lunch, 4 days per week Job Duties Assist students, staff, faculty, and guests. Must have experience in organization, multitasking, and prioritization skills. Perform administrative duties in support of undergraduate and graduate programs. Assist with special projects as they arise. Work closely with the 7 undergraduate and 5 graduate programs in the SPA. Process financial expenditures in the Concur System. Exercise discretion and judgment while managing confidential information. Maintain student academic records. Prepare documents, reports, and spreadsheets as well as compile enrollment data. Assist students with Course Registration. Provide backup support for other SPA staff. Operate standard office machines and equipment. Assist with other duties as assigned. Requirements and Qualifications Students are not eligible for this role due to the student records responsibilities. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Must be detail-oriented and able to manage time-sensitive projects independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) required. Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC is strongly desired. Experience with Lion Path is a plus. Consistent dependability and self-starter. Must upload a cover letter and resume at the time of application.
