JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Harrisburg's Office of Continuing Education is seeking a dynamic and experienced Part-Time Education Program Specialist. This role involves identifying, developing, delivering, managing, and evaluating a portfolio of educational programs or initiatives. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, consultation, program coordination, technical assistance, and related services in the field of education/training. The specialist will also evaluate and prepare recommendations for ongoing and proposed programs and develop and maintain relationships with academic units, organizations, industry, and agencies to determine programming needs. Job Duties Identify and develop new educational programs or initiatives from conception to evaluation. Deliver and manage a portfolio of educational programs, ensuring high-quality content and delivery. Provide leadership and consultation in the design and implementation of education/training programs. Offer technical assistance and related services to support program objectives. Evaluate existing programs and prepare recommendations for improvements or new offerings. Collaborate with academic units, organizations, industry, and agencies to assess and meet their educational needs. Maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders to determine programming needs and opportunities. Coordinate program logistics, including scheduling, resource allocation, and participant communication. Monitor program outcomes and ensure alignment with the goals of the Office of Continuing Education. Prepare reports and documentation related to program activities and outcomes. Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in program development, management, or a related area in education/training. Strong leadership and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to evaluate and improve educational programs. Experience in building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in continuing education or adult education programs. Familiarity with educational program accreditation and compliance requirements. Knowledge of current trends and best practices in education/training.
