DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Your responsibilities include measuring, cutting, fitting, and erecting concrete forms, building wooden structure walls and partitions, repairing doors, windows, and similar carpentry duties. You will also mix concrete for use on site or direct the placement of ready mixed concrete for various structures, ensuring proper finishing and curing of concrete structures, and cutting, fitting, grouting, and pointing of stone structures as required. In the absence of the foreman, you may perform acting or lead work functions for crew members.

You may operate a variety of construction equipment including trucks, loaders, backhoes, and excavators incidental to the assigned bridge maintenance project or as a back-up operator for emergency response to snow and ice, storm, and vehicle accidents. When operating this equipment, you will perform required pre- and post-operation checks and make necessary adjustments to operate safely and minimize wear, all equipment accidents or damage immediately. You will also perform manual laboring duties using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, hammers, and hand saws, as well as motorized hand equipment such as power saws, compressors, jackhammers, tampers, and pumps. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirements:

This position will require possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License. Additional Requirements:
