Oracle Lead Data Architect - Oracle Health in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Job Description

Looking for an experienced Data Architect to help deliver game-changing analytics and tools to drive value for hospitals and health systems leveraging the Oracle Health EHR. This job requires strong skills in SQL, Python, data visualization, and building reliable data pipelines in the cloud.

Responsibilities

General responsibilities: Interacts with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments. Develops and codes software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources. Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers.

What we value: The Client Insights team employs an agile development approach. Part of this methodology includes quickly iterating to get to a minimum viable product that validates or invalidates a stated hypothesis. Being comfortable with ambiguity and capable of quickly testing assumptions is central to the role. In addition to having an ability to tackle ambiguous business problems, as a team we value a broad set of skills. Specific examples include data acquisition (all flavors of advanced SQL), data visualization (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, and D3.js), data manipulation (Python, R and regular expressions), data analysis using practical statistical modeling, and familiarity with Cerner Millennium, clinical workflows, and standard metrics for general business operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of relevant work experience.

  • Strong technical skills in data acquisition and manipulation using advanced SQL

  • Good working knowledge of object-oriented programming and data structures

  • Strong skills in data visualization, with deep expertise of Tableau, Power BI, or Oracle Analytics Cloud

  • Experience developing data-intensive applications and reliable data pipelines in a cloud environment

  • Demonstrated expertise in statistical modeling and practical statistical learning

  • Ability to understand and prioritize work based on value and goals of a project

  • Comfortable facilitating meetings with clinicians, strategists, Oracle Health executives, or clients if needed

  • Ability to communicate effectively and summarize technically complex findings to non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the enterprise

  • Strong skills in developing effective presentations

  • Analytical thinking and interest in using metrics to improve decision-making and influence behavior

  • Curiosity and creativity to solve novel problems in unique ways

  • Commitment to incremental progress towards resolving a problem

  • Comfort with ambiguity

  • A demonstrated ability to pick up new skills quickly

US: Hiring Range: from $109,100 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
