DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Human Resource Analyst 2, you will learn how to conduct job analyses to ensure job specifications used by agencies are current and accurate, as well as how to create new jobs and series to meet program and administration goals and objectives.  This includes evaluating programs and operations of client agencies, recognizing recruitment and retention issues, analyzing job requirements and pay relationships, and writing job specifications to meet program needs.  You will also participate in job study teams and other activities related to improving the Commonwealth's Classification Plan.  An important part of this position is developing collaborative working relationships with agency program managers, subject matter experts, human resource partners, BOOM coworkers, and other enterprise partners to address organization management issues, explore options, and deliver solutions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

Work schedule is negotiable within the organization's business hours.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to an office location.  Office location may be negotiable based on candidate's location.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Human Resource Analyst 1 including six months in the area of the parenthetical; or

One year of experience in the performance of professional human resource duties, including six months of experience in the area of the parenthetical; and a bachelor's degree; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.
